Be the creator of the Saumon Québec fly

This year, in a stripped-down version of the fly-tying contest, you have just one mandate: to create the new Saumon Québec fly.

 

Selection criteria

This edition of the contest is intended to be unpretentious, with the aim of involving all those in the community who wish to participate, both novices and the more experienced.

That said, your fly will be judged on its creativity and must meet these specifications:

- Wet fly tied on a #1/0 single hook (whatever the style).
- Use colors from the official Saumon Québec palette.
- The fly must be fishable without compromising its design, while remaining legal on Quebec salmon rivers.

 

Each fly tyer may submit a maximum of one fly.

These will be exhibited at the Trois-Rivières Fly Fishing Show. A web vote will also be held on our Facebook page from Monday november 25 to thursday November 28 to determine the winner.

PRIZE

The winner of the contest will receive a set valued at $630, including:

• Patagonia Hole Duffel 40L travel bag ($200 value)
• Patagonia Guidewater Hip Pack waist bag ($300 value)
• Patagonia Cap ($55 value)
• Pêches sweater ($75 value)
